 SPEECHES:

Dare To Be 100 Live To Your Potential

Audiences sit up and respond when the wisest of doctors speaks truth about life and death, their life and avoidable early death. Dr. Bortz, one of America’s most distinguished scientific experts on aging and longevity, draws on cutting edge science to challenge audiences to dare to live to be 100. He charms, challenges and chastises and leaves listeners awake, aware and with a better chance of living longer. He says staying alive and vital to 100 requires two things, GUTS AND SMARTS, the courage to face life’s uncertainties and the knowledge to heed the Serenity Prayer’s mandate, to change the changeable, to accept the inevitable, and know the difference between them. Oh, and that wise exercise and eating, good genetics and being love in your life help a lot!

The Economics of Health

Dr. Walter Bortz says Americans don’t really spend almost 3 trillion dollars per year on health care. He says it’s being spent on sickness, preventable sickness at that. Dr. Bortz, one of America’s most distinguished scientific experts on aging and longevity provides an impassioned call for a revolution to save American health care and he details an action plan to fix the most broken system in our country, a system everyone agrees is rapidly bleeding America to death. Dr. Bortz brings the cure, clearly explaining to your audience how Americans can save trillions of dollars and prevent 50% of all illnesses!

How The Health Club Industry Can Save Obamacare

Dr. Walter Bortz, recognized as one of America’s most distinguished scientific experts on aging and longevity, asks the vital question, if medicine’s mission is the assertion and assurance of the human potential, how is it doing? In this speech Bortz questions assumptions and explains the perverse incentives that cause him to give medicine’s current efforts toward mission a failing grade. He then uses the controversial subject of the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, to present a manifesto for a revolution to save American health care and explain how the Health Club Industry can lead the way.

Aaron worked closely with and intently studied world-class athletes during that time, and uncovered what would become the cornerstones and early developments in what would become his life’s work, Reposturing Dynamics. Ever since his work at the L.A. Olympics, Aaron has tirelessly refined and expanded Reposturing to include specific, and full-featured strengthening and posture correcting programs for the entire body including the, neck, head and face.

For the past 25 years, Aaron has passionately shared his unique knowledge of the human body, and how to correct postural problems with the world through appearances on television, live ergonomics lectures and classes, certification courses, radio talk shows, numerous YouTube videos, two self-published books, Reposturing exercise DVDs, and over 100 written and published articles. Aaron’s expertise covers stress management, ergonomics, pain management, rehabilitation, anti-aging, and sports performance to name a few.

Aaron is one of today’s emerging talents in the Vitality and Healthy Aging movement. “The Vitality Man,” is a dynamic and eloquent mind & body genius that captivates audiences, and helps people gain clarity in the quest for vitality and pain-free living. As an accomplished Author, Speaker, Innovator, and Posturist Practitioner, with over 20 years experience, Aaron is on a mission to help humanity thrive with vitality, fulfillment and longevity.

 SPEECHES:

Dynamic Laws of Great Posture

There has never really been a good, useful definition of great posture. What we tend to think of as “good posture” is mostly just the actions people take in order to achieve good posture. There is a difference. So what is good posture? Aaron teaches you how to achieve truly great posture, empowering your understanding of the Dynamic Laws that often impact your overall quality of life. Get fit and flexible at any age!

Stress, Self Esteem and Posture

Few places in the body show the effects of high or low self esteem more than how you hold your shoulders and ribcage when you carry yourself. Your shoulders store several types of emotional energies, such as the energy of self-esteem, which circulates around the top and front of the shoulders. In this talk, Aaron explores the correlation between Stress, Self Esteem and Posture, providing detailed examples and how to become proactive in your quest for more confidence and better posture.

Posture & Low Back Pain

In order to really understand low back pain, you have to look at the job that the low back and pelvis are trying to do. Normally, the bones of the low back line up according to their shape and size in a balanced way so that they are vertically balanced left to right and front to back. When the bones are not carrying the weight evenly, the musculature of the pelvis and outer low back have to engage, or contract, in order to prevent the person from falling over. Aaron responds to the ongoing low back issues suffered by millions of people with clear, and focused explanations of the causes of low back pain and the ultimate solution!

 SPEECHES:

The Future of IT: Monetizing Big Data

Data: everybody has more of it today than they did ten years ago, or even ten months ago. But what should you do with it? How can you make money with it? The first step is to reveal the wants and needs hidden inside the data, but the more important step is to convert those wants and needs into profitable services through algorithms. Algorithms will drive future profits but success requires creativity, something that doesn’t always come naturally to engineers. Patrick’s keynote program reviews a series of case histories and success stories where companies have made the leap from data accumulation to increased profits, inspiring creative ideas and offering tactical guidance for engineers and executives alike.

Predictive Analytics – a Goldmine for Your Business

Patrick Schwerdtfeger is a leading authority on global business trends including ‘big data’ and predictive analytics. From weather-driven shopping patterns to neighborhood crime forecasting, data and algorithms are dictating where we spend our money and deploy our resources. Target knows when women are pregnant before their own families know. Netflix knows what movies you’ll like before your own friends know. Pandora knows which songs you’ll like before YOU do! The trends are clear. Data scientists are mining data for correlations and causation, and combining them in algorithms that can literally tell the future. Patrick’s program delivers a string of fascinating case histories and success stories that will have your audience rethinking the opportunities hidden inside their own data as well.

Global Megatrends: Game-Changers that will Revolutionize Your Business

Business and geopolitical mega trends are converging and overlapping, bringing implications in every aspect of life and business, and Patrick is well known for his ability to break down complex subjects into accessible and understandable language. And with his dynamic and engaging speaking style, Patrick’s mega trends (including “Big Data”) keynote is perfect as a high-level strategic and inspirational closing session for your upcoming event. The five (5) primary mega trends include changing demographic profiles, an increasingly empowered public, accelerating technological advancements, resource depletion and globalization.

Think Bigger About Your Business & “Go Big!

Thinking BIG is the fastest path to success. It’s fun, it’s exciting and you encounter far less competition along the way. The vast majority of people work their tails off in pursuit of “realistic” goals, competing amongst each other at every turn. Meanwhile, visionaries set blatantly audacious goals and stroll towards them unimpeded. How is this possible? What’s their secret? This motivational keynote will entertain your attendees with fascinating research, energize them with incredible case histories, and empower them with a simple action plan.

Social Media: Stop Wasting Time!

The vast majority of business professionals spending time on Facebook and Twitter are just wasting time. For the most part, they’re using unfocused and ineffective tactics that do nothing to attract new clients. Meanwhile, a few are using simple but powerful strategies to explode their businesses virtually overnight. Patrick is passionate about finding these little known tricks – those juicy secrets – that transform social media from a relentless time waster to a reliable business builder.

BRIAN COPELAND

BRIAN COPELAND

Brian Copeland is prolific and entertaining speaker, an American actor, comedian, radio talk show host, playwright and author based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Copeland has been the opening act for artists such as Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin and Ringo Starr.

Copeland’s incisive, cutting-edge standup comedy material won him San Francisco’s prestigious Cabaret Gold Award as well as top prize in the Monterey Laugh Off. His unique ability to hilariously cut to the heart of some of our most serious social and political problems has earned him spots as the opening act for such diverse artists as Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Dionne Warwick, Donna Summer, Peabo Bryson, Al Jarreau, Ringo Starr, Manhattan Transfer, Steve Allen, Dana Carvey, Kevin Pollack, Rick Springfield, Lionel Richie, Lou Rawls, George Benson, Patti La bell, Etta James, Gregory Hines, The Righteous Brothers, The Temptations, and the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

He has appeared at such venues as Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, The Taj Mahal and Trump Palace in Atlantic City, the Nugget in Reno as well as clubs, colleges, and concert halls across America.

Copeland’s quick wit and probing interview style earned him a five year position as co-host of San Francisco Fox affiliate KTVU’s top rated breakfast program Mornings on 2 where he did everything from man on the street comedy bits to chatting up stars such as Dustin Hoffman and Garth Brooks. His biting social commentary segment Copeland’s Corner appeared daily on KTVU’s Noon News prompting San Francisco Examiner columnist Rob Morse to call Copeland ‘the best commentator on television’. This distinction led to a weekly national segment on NBC’s long- running late night show Friday Night called The World According to Copeland.

After viewing Copeland on television, the legendary Steve Allen called him “The brightest comedy mind I’ve seen in years.”

Copeland’s work on television and stage soon caught the attention of San Francisco ABC radio affiliate KGO, which premiered The Brian Copeland Show in 1995. With his unique blend of humor and riveting talk, the program soon slayed the competition. It remains the most listened to program in its time slot reaching over 100,000 listeners.

Of Copeland’s radio work, Brad Kava of the San Jose Mercury News wrote, “Brian Copeland is the Black Howard Stern. He’s so far over the edge, he comes back around the other side…be careful listening in the car though…could lead to accidents from laughing so hard!”

In addition to his work in broadcasting and on the comedy stage, Copeland is a serious writer with articles appearing in national newspapers and magazines.

A single father, Brian Copeland lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his children Adam, Carolyn and Casey.

JAN HUTCHINS

JAN HUTCHINS

Blessed with charisma and warmth this renowned Bay Area TV news anchor, former mayor of Los Gatos, Emmy-award winning content producer, Black Journalism Pioneer award recipient, businessman, thought leadership marketer, community activist, emcee and keynote speaker adds just enough humility and humor to a willingness to be controversial. Jan has lived a charmed life and brings a unique set of experiences to his topics. Jan Hutchins is the CEO of SocialAgenda Media where he leverages his diverse background in media, politics, business, sports and health to launch remarkable clients with remarkable solutions for our world.

Jan was born in the Danville, Illinois projects, raised on a farm in Wooster, Ohio, graduated from Yale, spent 20+ years as a sports and news TV anchor in the San Francisco Bay Area, ran Community PR for the San Francisco Giants, produced an Emmy award-winning children’s program with Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott, served on the Council and was Mayor of Los Gatos, CA, and now runs SocialAgenda Media with his beautiful bride. Jan has literally been there and done that and his speeches offer perspective and insights available to someone who’s lived so many different lives and seen life through so many different eyes.

On race: He’s Black but was raised living with a rich white family in Ohio and has been the “only one in the room” much of his life, thus his interesting take on identity and how it shows us the way to solve society’s problems.

On politics: A Yale educated radical, affirmative action success, who came just bullets away from joining the Black Panthers. Hear what he learned as Mayor of a California city that can help your company prosper.

On health: A late-blooming fat kid who shed 30 pounds to become an all-conference athlete his Senior year in High School. An early convert to health and fitness who taught yoga for 23 years and ran a transformational community center for 11. You’ll feel real enthusiasm and leave inspired.

On business: A year out of school he walked into a major-market TV station, asked for, and amazingly, got his dream job as a sportscaster, spent 20+ years as a sports and news anchor in the San Francisco Bay Area, left broadcasting because it became “part of the problem”, ran Community PR for the San Francisco Giants and produced an Emmy award-winning children’s program with Joe Montana and Ronnie Lott before learning the answer to why no thing is ever enough.

Jan has literally been there and done that, and his speeches offer perspectives and insights only available to someone who’s lived so many different lives.

 SPEECHES:

Commencement speeches:

Emcee / moderator:

Conference emcee Jan Hutchins moderates Vistage Executive Summit, San Jose

Keynote speeches:

LeadGen Journalism – taking brand journalism to the next level

In this speech Jan Hutchins shares a demand generation innovation that his thought leadership marketing company, SocialAgenda Media, has been successfully employing to not only help their B2B clients scale their content marketing operation but also boost their business development efforts and generate a steady flow of sales-ready leads.

The impact and secret sauce of crowdsourced and crowdfunded projects and communities

In this speech, Jan Hutchins, Black Journalism Pioneer and former Mayor of Los Gatos, CA, informs audiences about the empowerment available through the new ways the energy of the many can be made to act as one. He shares the necessary attitudes, secret insights and unintended consequences of unleashing the power of the crowd.

Why you need to become content about Content Marketing leading your company?

Is content marketing the future of enterprise? Former TV anchorman and Mayor of Los Gatos California, Jan Hutchins, now CEO of SocialAgenda Media says “yes” and explains the inevitability of the rise of quality information in commerce. In his speech Hutchins investigates the perceptions being shattered; how engaged-via-content customers effect management’s tendency to get in the way; the way it forces everyone in business to face and change their ineffective beliefs; how its increased ROI and ability to enable crowdsourcing will take your career to the top.

Influencing communities by understanding the “community” within

In this leadership development speech tailored for community managers, public relations professionals, corporate executives and entrepreneurs Jan Hutchins helps audience to understand how to lead individuals with different needs and personalities and inspire change, by understanding the many facets within our own selves. Your event attendees will leave with tools that will enable them to handle more gracefully conflicts happening within and without.

Modern Leadership for the well being of individuals

Why do most of our efforts to change fail? Resolutions are a joke, real change in our society feels impossible, even the super-rich seem dissatisfied, lovers hurt one another and overdosing on prescription pain medication has zoomed past automobile accidents to become the leading cause of accidental death in America. Why so much pain, depression, divorce? Why the highest suicide rates ever for the youngest and oldest cohorts in our society? The answers to these troubling questions and the answers for those who would be leaders in business, lie at the end of a road known in literature and lore as the Hero’s Journey. Jan Hutchins, who’s taken to that road many times in his life, challenges audiences to face their fears, look within, kill the Buddha, die before death and remake themselves, their businesses and our world before it’s too late.

Creating Serendipity

Serendipity means a “happy accident” or “pleasant surprise”; specifically, the accident of finding something good or useful while not specifically searching for it. Is it possible to consciously create serendipity? Is there a way of being, of making choices that promote “happy accidents” and “pleasant surprises” in life? Celebrity, politician, yogi, producer, journalist, businessman Jan Hutchins entertains as he informs about the art and science of choosing to live serendipitously.

Uniting to thrive

The world finds itself caught in battles, wars and differences at all levels from marriage to family to community to nations. There’s even a life and death struggle going on between humans and the planet. At SocialAgenda Media and on the stage, Jan Hutchins is promoting ways for people to thrive instead of continuing to struggle just to survive. Hutchins solutions for handling diversity combine mind-blowing new technologies with ancient human understandings.

Fitness way past 50

As the Baby Boomer generation hits their fifties, sixties and flirts with their seventies our beliefs about aging are changing. What are we to do with all these “extra” years? Keynote # 1

Wake up to the Power of Win-Win : Men and Women in Partnership

Inspire collaborative partnership, engagement and mutuality by being emotionally intelligent and aware of your gender influences

To be successful, companies need the full engagement of their entire workforce-both women and men. True collaborative leadership requires a mindset  shift from “me” to “we”, a style of leadership that finds ways to include everybody’s unique, individual contributions.

Using emotional intelligence derived from understanding how parental gender influences affects our behavior helps men and women successfully lead, form teams, and be in successful business relationships. Research shows that the business case for gender equality is clear; by eliminating gender bias, companies can reap significant benefits, including improved access to and retention of top talent and higher employee commitment.

Through this program, which is based on key principles of his book, Wake Up Man Up Step Up, Ray Arata illustrates how awareness of non-serving unconscious gender bias can contribute to improved presence, collaboration, partnering and mutuality with others.

This program:

  • Appeals to both men and women because it acknowledges the influences of their personal leadership role models, is compassionate toward them and builds trust and empathy for others
  • Has a dual focus that emphasizes both men and women need to be part of the solution
  • Assists men in seeing the opportunities of engaging in gender initiatives
  • Empowers women to ask for what they want
  • Empowers men to aspire to a healthy functioning collaborative win-win model

Keynote # 2

Man up, Woman up: The Transformative Power of Feminine Leadership and Values for Men and Women*

Create Inclusion, synergy, and improved business relationships by being authentic leaders

Authentic collaborative leadership is fundamental to the mutual success of men and women, their teams, and their companies.  Recent research shows that traditional feminine leadership and values are now more popular than the macho paradigm of the past, with employees (especially millennials) wanting more of a focus on empathy, collaboration, listening, being vulnerable and community oriented. Through this program, which is based on core principles of his book Wake Up Man Up Step Up, Ray Arata illustrates how traditionally feminine values impact leadership, relationships, trust, and productivity.

This program:

  • Humorously dispels outdated and non-functioning masculine norms that historically drove leadership styles
  • Helps women leaders to understand men so they can improve relationships and productivity
  • Provides valuable insight to men on how their emotional intelligence can support their relationships with women and heighten their success
  • Assists men in seeing the benefits of inclusionary leadership
  • Helps people to reduce and prevent conflict

The program can be adapted for mixed audiences as well as gender specific audiences.

Break out session or seminar on the following topics:

  • Support Accountability in the workplace
  • Core Values and Active Listening
  • Leveraging Emotional Intelligence into your Teams and Projects

Delvin Williams

Delvin Williams

A two-time all-pro player and the first man to have rushed for more than 1,000 yards in a single season for teams from both the original AFL and NFL. Today, Delvin is inspiring others, helping carry the ball for all athletes, professional and amateur, male and female, who, after years of giving their all, find their career suddenly over.

Delvin Williams carries the scars from 19 surgeries, the results from having carried the ball more than 1,300 times as an elite running back in the National Football League.

After a career that started when he was chosen out of Kansas in the 2nd round of the 1974 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers and continued with performances in Miami and Green Bay, Delvin retired in 1981 as a two-time all-pro player and the first man to have rushed for more than 1,000 yards in a single season for teams from both the original AFL and NFL.

In the 1980’s, along with Larry Schreiber, he started Pros for Kids a non-profit organization of athletes dedicated to helping kids stay off drugs.

Today, Delvin is helping carry the ball for all athletes, professional and amateur, male and female, who, after years of giving their all, find their career suddenly over. They’re thrown into in a kind of shock, often unprepared for life after sport, and they must face rebuilding their lives to reengage with a new reality, learn a new way to win.

“I had to go through years of therapy to be able to deal with the loss, accept my old identity and let go of all the anger and pain I felt. It was incredibly hard and so I’m compelled to help with easing the pain of athletes, and anyone else, experiencing traumatic loss.”

Delvin has founded the Athletes Reengagement Alliance, and is completing a book about his experience. Both are dedicated to serve any of us who are being forced to reinvent ourselves after being fired from a job, getting divorced, losing a loved one, facing addiction, severe injury, coming back from war or out of incarceration, or any of the other dislocating tragedies of modern life.
